March 30, 2026 - Portland is gearing up to launch its $20 million Portland Rides E-Bike Rebate Program offering up to $1,600 for a standard e-bike, up to $2,350 for a e-cargo bikes, and up to $8,500 for Adaptive users, plus up to $300 for accessories.

The program prioritizes access for Portland’s low-income communities and is designed to support a cleaner and more equitable future through affordable electric transportation.
E-bikes offer a healthy and low-cost way to get around. Whether you are commuting to work or school, taking kids to an activity, or running errands, e-bikes can make daily travel easier. However, the high cost of a new e-bike can be a challenge. This program helps reduce that barrier by offering rebates.
Funded by the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF), the program is intended to:
• Make e-bikes more affordable for low- and moderate-income households and PCEF priority populations
• Support healthier and more connected communities
• Help Portland reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• Improve transportation access and mobility equity throughout the city
The program is projected to run through 2029.
