October 12, 2023 - We are super excited about the response for the re-launch and new changes to Crank the Shield:SSM! We are equally excited to share all the new trails that have been created since we were there in 2022!
The format for 2024 will have all rides closer to the Sault, and with the simpler format we are able to offer a new Ride/Race only format, allowing riders to stay in an airbnb, at the Holiday Inn, or anywhere they choose!
This is also a great option for locals! We are still based out of Stokely Creek Lodge, and the best way to truly experience CRANK is to stay on-site. Riders Can book up to 60 available beds by booking directly with Stokely, or RV parking and tent spots are available.
Stokely also offer great food, commiserating with your fellow riders at dinner, and enjoying the awards ceremony with a beer is a big part of the event experience. Of course, riders choosing the ride/race option only are welcome to come by Stokely for the awards ceremony on each Friday and Saturday night!
Registration/Pricing details
For 2024 we are doing things a little differently. With the big ticket price of Crank the Shield, the additional 5 – 6% online/Credit Card fees amount to as much as $35 – $40 extra. To save you this money, we are using an online registration form, and accepting payment in 3 ways. Etransfer (auto deposit), Paypal, or a mailed cheque the old fashioned way. This also gives us better control and you lose less money should you need a refund on or before our refund date of May 1, 2024.
2024 Prices:
Package #1 (Full experience, includes 3 days of riding/racing, Breakfast/Dinner Friday night to Sunday morning, a tent or RV site, use of the wonderful facilities at Stokely Creek Lodge, and the famous CRANK afterparty!
Super Early Bird to November 30: $719 + HST ($812 total)
Early Bird December 1 to March 31: $759 + HST ($857 total)
Standard Price April 1 to August 9: $799 + HST ($902 total)
Package #2 (Ride/Race only, includes all 3 days of racing, aid station, finish line food, Stage 3 final feast, and the famous CRANK afterparty). You are also welcome to attend the awards ceremonies on Friday and Saturday night at Stokely Creek. You are responsible for your own lodging away from Stokely Creek.
Super early Bird to November 30: $509 + HST ($575 total)
Early Bird December 1 to March 31: $549 + HST ($620 total)
Standard Price April 1 to August 9: $589 + HST (665 total)
