September 12, 2026 - (Quebec City, Que.) Sunny skies blessed the world’s top riders in Quebec City as Remco Evenepoel (Bel) Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, both a World and an Olympic champion, claimed the 15th edition of Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec, 206km, 20 laps of a 10.3km circuit, besting Giulio Ciccone (Ita) Lidl-Trek at the line, with Anthon Charmig (Den) Uno-X Mobility taking third. The top Canadian was Derek Gee (Lidl-Trek) finishing 31st.

An early break of six riders initiated by Storm Ingebrigtsen (Nor) Uno-X Mobility gained over three minutes on the chasing peloton that whittled down their lead with various teams including Canada’s Nickolas Zukowsky (Pinarello-Q36.5) taking turns at the front to reel them in.

With six laps to go they were caught and a new group of about a dozen riders took to the front as Alberto Bettiol (Ita) XDS-Astana escaped in a solo attempt with 40km to go gaining a 15s lead.

Not long after Evenepoel, Ciccone and Charmig bridged to him with two and a half laps to go, and it was game on as Tom Pidcock (Gbr) Pinarello-Q36.5 led the chase group behind in vain.

Bettiol could not keep pace, and on the final climb Charmig also got dropped, with Evenepoel taking Ciccone at the finish line for his first North American victory at the GPC de Quebec.
