February 10, 2026 - Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates (MICA) is excited to announce the “Euro-style” NorthChannel Bike Park 2026 grand opening on Saturday, June 13.

A “Euro-style” bike park features short, efficient gravity trails with technical sections and flow, offering numerous laps rather than long climbs, integrating features like berms and rollers for beginners to advanced riders, often alongside pump tracks for skill-building and fun.
The upcoming North Channel Bike Park (NCBP) in Ontario differs from traditional large-lift parks and boasts 5 km of diverse “Euro-style”, short gravity trails, featuring technical cross country flow trails and a Pump-track. NEW trails, NEW opportunities, GREAT fun. DROP – In!
“Manitoulin Island is renowned for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. This bike park adds a new dimension to the island’s offerings, making it a must-visit destination for cycling enthusiasts and families alike,” said Maja Mielonen MICA President. “We’re thrilled to bring this project to life with the support of NOHFC, fedNor and our dedicated team at MICA.”
The park is expected to become a cornerstone of Manitoulin Island’s tourism landscape, attracting bikers from across the province and beyond.
