October 6, 2024 - (Leuven, BEL) Dutch riders Marianne Vos and and Mathieu van der Poel took home the 2024 Gravel World Championship titles respectively in Leuven, Belgium. Vos battled Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky in a final sprint to line after 140 kilometers of racing for the victory. It was the storied rider’s fourteenth world title.
In the men’s 173km race, Van der Poel went on the attack on the final Leuven circuit with five challengers keeping pace. He attacked again and could only be matched by Florian Vermeersch (BEL) who he dropped with 13km to go to solo in for the win.
